What you should know about Castle Peak Hospital
Opened in 1961, the oldest-established psychiatric hospital in Hong Kong admits general psychiatric inpatients from the New Territories and manages a network of psychiatric clinics and day hospitals. In addition, conducts post-graduate psychiatric training and field training in clinical psychology and occupational therapy, it operates the only Psychiatric Forensic Unit in Hong Kong, and trains psychiatric nurses. Apart from basic psychiatry, it offers a number of sub-specialty services, as well as an intensive rehabilitation programme. It also provides consultation services to the inpatients of general wards in some other hospitals. Through its regular educational activities, the Hospital also helps to increase the community’s awareness about mental health.
