In recent years, So Chan Wai-hang Geriatric Day Rehabilitation Center, and, Endocrine Surgery Centre, Total Joint Replacement Surgery Centre, Tsang Wing Yue Memorial Operating Suite for Head & Neck Tumour Minimally Invasive Surgery, Tsang Wing Yue Memorial Day Centre for ENT Ambulatory Care, including Bess Tsin Man Kuen Wellness Centre for Breast Disease, the Hospital has also established various clinical centres, to serve patients with needs. It is one of the acute hospitals under the Kowloon West Cluster (KWC) of the Hospital Authority (HA). In addition, there is a General Practice Clinic providing general and family medicine specialist out-patient consultations which also serves as a training centre for students in Family Medicine.
Founded by the Yan Chai Hospital Board of Directors in 1973, the Hospital provides acute and extended care services to the Tsuen Wan community and its neighboring areas. The specialty of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery of the Hospital serves as a referral centre within KWC while the Total Joint Replacement Centre of the Hospital is the 2nd centre providing joint replacement operation under HA.
