Kingboard Chemical Holdings Ltd ( "Kingboard Chemical" ) established its first laminates manufacturing plant in 1988. In December 2006, the Group successfully spun off its laminate business, Kingboard Laminates for a separate listing on the main board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. In November 2004, the Group successfully acquired Elec & Eltek International Holdings Limited as part of a strategic expansion plan. Kingboard Copper Foil Holdings Limited, the Group's subsidiary, was spun off for a separate listing on The Singapore Stock Exchange in December 1999. Moreover, which further enhances our diversified business portfolio.In 1993, the Group had successfully built up a brand new business segment - properties developments in recent years, Kingboard Chemical was listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Kingboard, being the world's number one laminate producer and largest printed circuit board manufacturer in China, is also a leading supplier of chemical products in China. With continuous investment in plants and production facilities, our outstanding management team and vertically integrated business model enable the Group to allocate resources more effectively so as to enjoy cost advantages through operational efficiency and advance our market share. The Group now operates more than 60 manufacturing plants, with business activities ranging from laminates to printed circuit boards, chemicals and properties development in China. The Group's natural gas based methanol JV with China BlueChemical in Hainan province commenced production in December 2006.
